About me.
I began classical piano lessons at a young age and I loved the idea of music. Some of my earliest memories are of exploring my parents’ CD collection, listening to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Earth, Wind & Fire on repeat. Not long after starting lessons, I wrote in my diary: “I just want to be really good at piano.”
This passion quickly grew, leading me to explore other instruments like guitar, voice, and violin, and to participate in school orchestra, jazz band, and choir. It was during high school that I discovered a deep love for jazz, which ultimately led me to pursue music professionally.
These days, I’m just as likely to be playing jazz as I am to be singing Ariana Grande or delving into the works of Chopin. I perform with my jazz trio and engage in various side projects, spanning genres from rock and blues to pop and bluegrass.
As a music teacher, I am dedicated to nurturing my students' love for music and helping them discover their unique musical voice. I strive to instill essential foundational skills like note reading, rhythm, and music theory, empowering them to play with both confidence and creativity.
.
When I’m not teaching or making music, you’ll often find me doing yoga, getting lost in a good book, or adventuring outdoors with my Husky mix, Nali.
